The Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Lions will venture away from home to  take on the Christian Brothers Cadets  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Gateway Legacy Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They were the clear victors by  a  16-0 margin over Hazelwood East on Wednesday. The  win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

 Roninwer Martinez looked comfortable as he  struck out nine batters over  3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He is becoming a predictor of Gateway Legacy Christian Academy's success: when he allows at  most three  hits the team is 2-1 (and 6-12 when he doesn't).
 At the plate, Gateway Legacy Christian Academy got a  massive  performance out of  Juan Telles, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  runs  Telles has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Francisco Guayapero, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Christian Brothers, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Thursday. They put the hurt on Gateway Legacy Christian Academy with a sharp  8-0 victory on Tuesday. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
 Michael Sievers looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Brady Rallo, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.  Kale Price was another key player,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  RBI.
 Gateway Legacy Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Christian Brothers,  the  win  got them back to even at 8-8.
 Gateway Legacy Christian Academy might still be hurting after the  8-0 loss they got from Christian Brothers  when the teams last played  on Tuesday. Can the Lions avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
