The Unity Reed Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Unity Reed will be strutting in after a win while Osbourn Park will be coming in after a defeat.
Unity Reed scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Park View, posting a 73-40 win at home. The victory was just what Unity Reed needed coming off of a 71-49 defeat in their prior contest.
Charles Pargo and Julian Shahateet were among the main playmakers for Unity Reed as the former scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. The match was Pargo's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Russell Robinson, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Osbourn Park, who are still winless after their seventh game. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Battlefield on Friday. Osbourn Park has struggled against Battlefield recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Unity Reed's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Osbourn Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1.
Unity Reed was able to grind out a solid win over Osbourn Park in their previous matchup back in January, winning 53-46. Will Unity Reed repeat their success, or does Osbourn Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
