Belfry had a senior duo take command as Jaaliyah Warren scored 30 points along with seven rebounds and three steals and Jenna Sparks dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Sparks is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Belfry has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Pike County Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
Belfry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-35 victory vs. Phelps on the 8th. Pike County Central will head out on the road to challenge Betsy Layne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kentucky (Pike County Central is ranked 89th, while Betsy Layne is ranked 92nd).
