Beloit had won two straight road games  and  Eli Johnson did his part to make it three on Friday. The Beloit Trojans secured  a  56-50 W over the Lyons Lions thanks in part to  Johnson, who  went 10-for-18  to rack up 23 points and eight  boards. The  matchup was  his fourth in a row with at least 23 points.
 The team also got some help courtesy of  Jackson Cheney, who  posted seven  points and seven  rebounds. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  boards.
 Lyons lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Xavier Solis, who  went 7-for-14  on his way to 19 points along with five  rebounds and five  blocks. He is  on a roll when it comes to  blocks, as he's  now  posted two or more in each of the last four games he's  played.  Deacon Showalter was another key player,  putting up 12  points in addition to five  assists and five  boards.
Beloit's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Lyons,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-9.
 Beloit didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  63-29  win against Minneapolis on the 21st. As for Lyons, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  62-58  defeat against Southeast of Saline on the 21st.
