Basketball Recap: Broken Bow Piles Up the Points Against St. Paul

Broken Bow won the last time they faced St. Paul and things went their way on Saturday too. The Broken Bow Indians breezed by the St. Paul Wildcats to the tune of 67-29. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 29 points or more this season.

Charlee Wegner and Aubree Fitzgerald certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Wegner went 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points, while Fitzgerald posted eight points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Fitzgerald a new career-high in assists (two).

The win made it two in a row for Broken Bow and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for St. Paul, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broken Bow will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hershey at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for St. Paul, they will venture away from home to face off against O'Neill at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
