Barbe has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Comeaux Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Comeaux took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Barbe, who comes in off a win.
Barbe can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They put the hurt on Lafayette with a sharp 30-7 victory.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Comeaux, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They fell 28-21 to New Iberia on Friday.
Barbe is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Comeaux, their loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Everything went Barbe's way against Comeaux in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as Barbe made off with a 47-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barbe since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
