The Antelope Rams were the 48-33 winner over the Mayer Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Antelope was outmatched by Mayer on the road and fell 67-14.
It was another big night for Danni McCann, who dropped a triple-double on 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 17 steals for Mayer. The match was McCann's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Larissa Dodge was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 assists.
Antelope's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Mayer, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antelope will face off against Bagdad at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bagdad is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Mayer, they will head out on the road to face off against Seligman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Seligman comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
