Volleyball Recap: South Effingham Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Destiny Young and Leah Magana

It was a good run, but South Effingham unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brookstone Cougars.

South Effingham's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Leah Magana, who had 16 assists and seven digs, and Destiny Young, who had seven digs. Magana has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more assists the last three times she's played.

South Effingham now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Brookstone, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, South Effingham is taking a road trip to face off against St. Vincent's at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookstone, they will be playing at home against Lee County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
