Basketball Recap: Huntingdon's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Huntingdon unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 94-73 loss courtesy of the Central Cambria Red Devils. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (72), the Bearcats still had to take the loss.

Central Cambria's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Brouse, who went 11 of 16 on his way to 26 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. With that strong performance, Brouse is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Burkett, who went 9 of 14 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Huntingdon's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Central Cambria, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Huntingdon will face off against Tyrone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Huntingdon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Central Cambria has already played their next matchup, a 62-58 defeat against Bishop McCort on the 7th.
