East Columbus has gone  a perfect 8-0 against Pender recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Tuesday. The East Columbus Gators will venture away from home to  challenge the Pender Patriots  at 6:00  p.m. The  matchup will  give East Columbus their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
Last Monday, East Columbus didn't have quite enough to beat West Bladen and fell  11-10. The Gators haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
  Kamden Coker was cooking despite his team's loss,   going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs and one  triple. Another player making a difference was  Braylon Waddell, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Pender hadn't done well against Wallace-Rose Hill recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Pender came out on top against Wallace-Rose Hill by a score of  6-3.
  Darius Bowen was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Reese Robertson, who  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 Pender now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Columbus, their  defeat was their first of the  season and also makes their record 2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. East Columbus has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 2.7  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pender struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 5.3  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 East Columbus took their  win against Pender  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  8-1. Does  East Columbus have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pender turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
