Manor New Tech had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors as they made off with a 47-21 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Manor New Tech also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.
A big part of Manor New Tech's victory came down to the chemistry between Jaiden Hargis and his top target Alijah Young. Hargis rushed for 19 yards and one TD while Young picked up 124 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Young really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 95 yards.
Coming up, Manor New Tech will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin, they will challenge Eastside Early College at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
