Badin had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. Everything went their way against the Carroll Patriots as they made off with a 14-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Wednesday.

Elliot Davis looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Colton Emerson was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Anzalone, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Badin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Badin pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Carroll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7-1.
