Softball Recap: Cascade Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Cascade put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 22-10 margin over the North Marion Huskies. Considering the Cougars have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cascade got a massive performance out of Amyah Miranda, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Miranda a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Malia Scanlan, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.

Cascade hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive games.

Cascade pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.2 runs thus far. As for North Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
