Lincolnview dropped their record down to 9-2 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Leo Lions by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Lancers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Leo, their win bumped their record up to 8-2. Those one runs were actually the fewest they have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

For Leo's part, not much got past Leah Shappell, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Lincolnview off the board. Shappell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincolnview will welcome Ottoville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Leo, they will be playing at home against South Bend Riley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
