The Lakeside School Chiefs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Abbeville Christian Academy, falling 80-38. Lakeside School has not had much luck with Abbeville Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Abbeville Christian Academy was led to victory by Shi Crawford and Jp Sowell. Crawford dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists, while Sowell dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Crawford posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarcus George, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Lakeside School bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.
Lakeside School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Abbeville Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chambers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Chambers Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Abbeville Christian Academy is ranked 143rd).
