Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Genna Kidwell out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Kidwell hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Tipton, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Martinsville dropped their record down to 2-18 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, their victory bumped their record up to 8-19.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martinsville's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, they will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
