Bastrop dropped down to 5-12 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 17-0 to Family Community Christian. The Rams were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but Family Community Christian's pitcher proved too tough.

As for Family Community Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games.

For Family Community Christian's part, Hannah Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brown was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bastrop will face off against Florien at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Family Community Christian, they will square off against Vidalia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
