Basketball Game Preview: Word of God Christian Academy National Holy Rams vs. Victory Christian Center Kings

Having just played yesterday, the Word of God Christian Academy National Holy Rams will get right back to it and host the Victory Christian Center Kings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Monday, Word of God Christian Academy National ended up a good deal behind Lab University Prep National and lost 95-80.

Despite their loss, Word of God Christian Academy National saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jaevian Alston, who made all 11 shots he took to post 24 points, was perhaps the best of all. The matchup was Alston's third in a row with at least ten points. Brandon BJ Solomon Jr was another key player, going 9 for 13 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Word of God Christian Academy National smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Victory Christian Center). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Elevation Prep Academy 92-30. The Kings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

The win (which was Victory Christian Center's seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22.1 points. As for Word of God Christian Academy National, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Word of God Christian Academy National was able to grind out a solid victory over Victory Christian Center when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 65-56.
