Keller is a perfect 5-0 against Bell since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Indians will look to defend their home field against the Blue Raiders at 3:00 p.m. Keller is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
While Keller's victory against Northwest wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Texans 6-4. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Texans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Taylor O'Leary spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mackenna Jackson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Lily Clower was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Bell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against Timber Creek, falling 14-8.
Alina Vogt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenslee Turner, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Bell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15-1. As for Keller, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8-1.
Bell's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Keller hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. It's a different story for Bell, though, as they've only averaged .252. Will they be able to contain Keller's hitters?
Keller got the 'W' when the teams last played back in February against Bell by a conclusive 23-4 score. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
