After a string of five wins, the Harrison Central Red Rebels's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. The game between Harrison Central and Presbyterian Christian wasn't particularly close, with Harrison Central falling 74-59. Harrison Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Presbyterian Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Despite the loss, Harrison Central still got an impressive performance from Aujaylen Barron, who scored 26 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Pace, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Harrison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Presbyterian Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.
Harrison Central will be playing at home against D'Iberville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Presbyterian Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Picayune at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Picayune is ranked 34th, while Presbyterian Christian is ranked 28th).
