Tom Bean has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Wolfe City Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tom Bean focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tom Bean beat the Tigers 35-29.
Tom Bean's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samantha Lind, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Lind has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Allie Hickman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Wolfe City at home against the Tigers on Tuesday as the squad secured a 65-19 victory. That looming 65-19 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Wolfe City yet this season.
Tom Bean's win bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Wolfe City, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-14.
Tom Bean ended up a good deal behind the Wolves when the teams last played back in January, losing 49-32. Can Tom Bean avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
