Westford Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Littleton Tigers.
The team relied heavily on Khloe Felicani, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Anya Gesin, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Felicani wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Westford Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Littleton only managed ten hits.
Littleton now has a losing record of 1-2.
Coming up, Westford Academy is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Boston Latin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Grey Ghosts their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Littleton, they will challenge Lunenburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
