After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Henley, Klamath Union was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Mazama Vikings. While the Pelicans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Nathan Ferns was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Glidden, who scored three runs and stole a base.
Klamath Union has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Mazama, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
