Gio Rojas made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Rojas was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other pitching news, Daniel Tartaglia looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jake Rizzo, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Nick Diaz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Stoneman Douglas' victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Coral Glades, their record is now 14-5.
