While Northview's win against Rowland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings skirted past the Raiders 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted against the Raiders since April 28, 2016.

Clementina Duran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Beatriz Diaz and Marylin Sandoval did most of the damage at the plate: Diaz went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Sandoval went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Aliana Zuniga was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Northview has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8-1 record this season. As for Rowland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-7-1 record.

Northview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
