The Hapeville Charter Hornets's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-42 victory over Clarkston. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hapeville Charter also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Hapeville Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janiah Murray, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Murray has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalilah Tucker, who scored 24 points along with two steals.
Hapeville Charter pushed their record up to 6-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Clarkston, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Westminster the next time they take the court. Clarkston will host Westminster at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Hapeville Charter will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
