Gore have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will be playing at home against Savanna at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Gore are coming into the matchup hot, having won seven in a row.
Two weeks ago, Gore put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They took the contest and then some with a 42-0 victory over Warner. That looming 42-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Gore yet.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-62, which was the final score in Savanna's tilt against Talihina last Thursday. The state rankings had actually given Savanna a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Gore's win lifted them to 7-1 while Savanna's loss dropped them down to 2-5. In their win, Gore relied heavily on junior James Dover, who rushed for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. Savanna will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
