It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Glen Iris Baptist had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 56-48 victory over the Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Swordsmen sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glen Iris Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leah Griffin, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards. Griffin is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Lanie Saruse was another key player, going 9-for-21 on her way to 18 points and three steals.
Glen Iris Baptist's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Mt. Pleasant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-3.
