The Spencerville Bearcats lost against the Jefferson Wildcats back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Spencerville fell just short of Jefferson by a score of 31-28. Spencerville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dean Trentman had an outrageously good game for Jefferson as he rushed for 286 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Trentman's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Karder Agner made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Spencerville's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Jefferson, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.
Spencerville will face off against Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Edison's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Spencerville has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
