MANVEL, Texas - the Mavericks scored 21 points in the second quarter to secure a big 40-0 victory over Pasadena Memorial (Pasadena, Texas) on Saturday.
Manvel scored on a passing touchdown, a
Deriq King touchdown run and a touchdown pass by
Zach Gushwa in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, MHS was up 28-0 at the half.
The Mavericks expanded their lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. Manvel scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by King.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Mavericks.
Manvel (3-1) will play a 5A Region III District 22 game against Alvin next week, while Pasadena Memorial (0-4) will take on Dobie also in a 5A Region III District 22 game.
