Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sidney). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Alliance Bulldogs 75-45. The Red Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Espen Lanik, who posted 18 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Meyring, who had 12 points and eight rebounds.
The victory made it two in a row for Sidney and bumps their season record up to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Alliance, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-10.
