The Strom Thurmond Rebels posted their biggest victory since November 14, 2023 on Friday. They breezed by Batesburg-Leesville at home to the tune of 51-11. The win made it back-to-back wins for Strom Thurmond.
It was another big night for Katlyn Chinn, who scored 19 points along with four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawson Lowe, who scored six points along with three steals.
Strom Thurmond has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Batesburg-Leesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strom Thurmond will play host again and welcome Pelion, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Silver Bluff at 6:00 p.m. Silver Bluff will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.
