Goddard extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 4 this week by beating Clovis, 51-21. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Rockets.
Roswell and Gadsden played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Roswell eventually emerging with a 15-12 victory. Stephen Lucero threw for 107 yards and one touchdown and ran for 58 yards in the win.
The Coyotes' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground David Nunez chipped in 109 yards. Joseph Lovato helped Roswell's passing attack out by catching one ball for 39 yards.
Hiram McIntyre was the best wideout in the league this week as Roswell defeated the Panthers. McIntyre tallied six receptions for 59 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Trevor Eulenbach of Artesia is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1132. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. On the ground, Robert Arreola's team's Nunez has rushed for 569 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Lovato. The Roswell star has 19 catches for 464 yards.
Goddard took down the Wildcats 51-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
