Gonzalez was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Kiara Sipe and  Riley Grealy stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Sipe  scored a  run while going 4-for-4, while  Grealy  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Even though they lost, Clovis North was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with three  doubles. This was only their first loss (out of five games) when  they post three or more  doubles.
 Clovis North's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 16-6. As for Clovis, their victory bumped their record up to 6-15-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clovis North will  challenge Central at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Central's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7  runs per game  this season, so Clovis North's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clovis, they will head out on the road to  take on  Clovis East at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Clovis is no doubt hoping to put an end to  an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
