The Central Valley Hawks's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They blew past Riverbank 66-35 at home. The victory was just what Central Valley needed coming off of a 68-41 loss in their prior matchup.
Central Valley can attribute much of their success to Sahibjot Deal, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Deal scored 15 or more points. Bryan Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Loss or not, Riverbank got some senior leadership from Lawrence Diaz who scored 16 points and Erick Jimenez who scored 11 points.
Central Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Riverbank, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Valley will stay at home for another game and welcome East Union at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Riverbank will take on Turlock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Turlock's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
