Basketball Recap: Palmdale Takes a Loss

Palmdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 66-44 to the Quartz Hill Royals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-34 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Palmdale still got an impressive performance from Ethan Thornton, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Thornton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Toles, who put up 11 points.

It was another big night for Ty?Jahwuan Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards for Quartz Hill. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Palmdale's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Quartz Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.

Palmdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 82-37 defeat against Knight on the 24th. Quartz Hill has also already played their next game, a 74-47 win against Lancaster on the 24th.
