Purcell is 10-0 against Lexington since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Purcell Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Lexington Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Purcell and seven for Lexington.
Last Tuesday, Purcell came up short against Marlow and fell 54-44.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Lexington had to settle for a 50-47 defeat against Dibble on Friday.
Purcell now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Lexington, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13.
Purcell was able to grind out a solid victory over Lexington in their previous matchup back in January, winning 71-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Purcell since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
