Osmond/Randolph has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Bloomfield Bees at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Tuesday, Osmond/Randolph was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-34 to Creighton.
The losing side was boosted by Sophie Gansebom, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. She set a new season high mark in blocks with two.
Meanwhile, Bloomfield pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wakefield. Bloomfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Madison Abbenhaus, who scored 29 points. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Lauck, who scored ten points.
Osmond/Randolph's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Bloomfield, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Osmond/Randolph came up short against Bloomfield when the teams last played back in February, falling 44-40. Can Osmond/Randolph avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
