With a playoff win on the line, Pendleton Heights rose to the challenge  on Friday. They blew past the Mt. Vernon Marauders, posting  a  45-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Arabians, who have now won seven contests by 29  points or more  so far this season.

 Joel Weaver continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 249 yards and five  TDs on only 13 carries. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 110.7  rushing yards per game.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pendleton Heights was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 340  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 162  rushing yards in four consecutive  matchups.

Pendleton Heights pushed their record up to 9-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 41.7 points over those games. As for Mt. Vernon,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
 Looking ahead, Pendleton Heights will host Greenfield-Central  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Mt. Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
