The Churchill County Greenwave suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2023 on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Fernley, falling 68-38. Churchill County has struggled against Fernley recently, as their match on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Churchill County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Trevor Hyde, who scored six points, and Brady Alves who scored seven points along with five assists.
It was another big night for Anthony Winters, who scored 21 points along with eight assists and four steals for Fernley. Winters has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Sheldon Jacobson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two blocks.
Churchill County now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Fernley, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.
