Section 5 Livingston III recap Sept. 26, 2012
York's Kelvin Voisey recorded the longest rushing play in Section 5 Livingston III this season in his game against Holley last week. Voisey scampered for 60 yards on the play and finished with 173 on the day as his team fell to the Hawks.
Bolivar-Richburg moved up to 490 from 557 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 37-16 win over the Wolverines helped the Wolverines improve their standing.
York's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Shutts threw for 157 and one touchdown and Neil Craft had 65 yards receiving. Ryan Lowden helped York's passing attack out by catching two balls for 39 yards.
Eric Amorese's team's Shutts and Patrick Dishaw have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Shutts has thrown for 921 yards this season, while Dishaw, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has seven catches for 258 yards. Rian Freeman from Cuba-Rushford leads the league in rushing with 287 yards.
The top two teams in Section 5 Livingston III will face off this week when first place Letchworth takes on second place York. Letchworth bested the Rebels last week, while the Golden Knights fell to Holley.
Bolivar-Richburg was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. David Baron's team vanquished David Baron's team 37-16 earlier in the week.
