Crestwood has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Springfield Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crestwood will be strutting in after a victory while Springfield will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Crestwood didn't have too much trouble with Wickliffe at home as they won 37-20.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crestwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lilly O'Bryant, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and four steals. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Hannah Ward, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Springfield took a serious blow against Streetsboro on Wednesday, falling 59-26. While losing is never fun, Springfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 576th, while Streetsboro is ranked 64th).
Crestwood's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
