After six games on the road, Providence Catholic is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Fox Tech Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Providence Catholic has not done well against San Antonio Memorial recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Providence Catholic strolled past San Antonio Memorial with points to spare, taking the game 37-19.
Kalysta Martin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Providence Catholic's points.
Meanwhile, Fox Tech had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-34 win over Comfort.
It was another big night for Zoie Silvas, who scored 17 points along with six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Fox Tech's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Celeste Tovar, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Providence Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Fox Tech, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
Providence Catholic took a serious blow against Fox Tech when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 79-22. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Providence Catholic was down 41-13.
