Sidney is 2-8 against the Bulldogs since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Sidney Team will head out on the road to take on the Delaware Academy Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Sidney will be strutting in after a win while the Bulldogs will be coming in after a loss.
Sidney scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Deposit-Hancock, posting a 84-25 victory at home. That 59 point margin sets a new team best for Sidney this season.
Meanwhile, Delaware Academy came up short against the Warriors on Monday and fell 44-34. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Delaware Academy came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Warriors are ranked 433rd).
Sidney is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Delaware Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
Sidney couldn't quite finish off the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in January and fell 52-49. Can Sidney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
