The Edison Chargers will head out to square off against the Huron Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Edison will be strutting in after a victory while Huron will be coming in after a defeat.
Edison had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Vermilion on Monday. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Sailors. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Abby Cloud was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Cloud was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natalie Desautels, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Peyton Taylor was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Edison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vermilion only posted a batting average of .259.
Meanwhile, Huron started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Bellevue. They fell just short of the Redmen by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Kaylee Albrycht was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelyn VanSickle, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Edison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Huron, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Edison has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. However, it's not like Huron struggles in that department as they've averaged .469. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Edison's way against Huron in their previous matchup on April 13th, as Edison made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
