The Vista Ridge Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 45-37 to McNeil. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Vista Ridge of the 75-67 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Vista Ridge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gavin Howard, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Pando, who scored five points along with two steals.
Vista Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season. As for McNeil, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-15.
Vista Ridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Round Rock Westwood at 7:00 p.m. Round Rock Westwood is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for McNeil, they will head out on the road to square off against Vandegrift at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vandegrift presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than McNeil in Texas (Vandegrift is ranked 114th, while McNeil is ranked 375th).
