Like Widefield, Falcon also got a great game from a two-way player: Ariana Campbell. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Widefield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .501. However, it's not like Falcon struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Widefield's way against Falcon when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Widefield made off with a 15-5 win. Will the Gladiators repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
