Broken Arrow and Jenks are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Broken Arrow Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Jenks Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Broken Arrow has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Broken Arrow gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 78-12 victory over Southmoore. Given Broken Arrow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Southmoore is ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for McKenzie Mathurin, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 19 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Marraccini, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Jenks earned a 57-50 win over Stillwater on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jenks.
Broken Arrow is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Jenks, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Broken Arrow beat Jenks 57-44 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Broken Arrow since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
