The Whitehall Railroaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 31-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cambridge.
Cambridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samantha Crandall, who scored 11 points along with six steals. Crandall is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Megan Day was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Whitehall has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Cambridge, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitehall's road trip will continue as they head out to face Granville at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Granville is on a three-game streak of home losses, Whitehall a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Cambridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Saratoga Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
