The St. Paul's Prep Lions and the Victory Christian Academy Patriots squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the St. Paul's Prep Lions had to settle for second. St. Paul's Prep was beaten by Victory Christian Academy 48-0. While losing is never fun, St. Paul's Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Victory Christian Academy is ranked 46th).
Lukas Dibenedetto threw for 27 yards on a of three attempts. Landon Applon was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Kody Lyon rushed for 35 yards.
St. Paul's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Victory Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
